Homemade Pumpkin Waffles: A Cozy Fall Breakfast

2 min read

There's something about fall that makes us want to slow down, spend a little more time in the kitchen, and fill our homes with the comforting aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, and warm spices. And what better way to start a crisp fall morning than with a stack of homemade pumpkin waffles?

These pumpkin waffles are everything we love about a cozy breakfast, warm, fluffy on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, and full of delicious fall flavor. Whether you're enjoying a quiet morning on the homestead or gathering the family around the breakfast table, they're a wonderful way to bring a little taste of autumn into your kitchen.

We make ours gluten-free, but the beauty of this recipe is that you can use your favorite all-purpose flour, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. Just keep in mind that different flour blends may require a slight adjustment to the batter.

Top them with a pat of butter, a drizzle of pure maple syrup, or a sprinkle of cinnamon, and you've got a homemade breakfast worth slowing down for.

So grab your waffle iron and a cold glass of raw milk...let's bring a little fall goodness to the breakfast table!

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose Gluten-Free flour

1 Tbsp. baking powder

1 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice OR 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

2 eggs

3/4 cup raw milk or milk of your preference

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Heat your waffle iron.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together all of your dry ingredients. Add in eggs, milk, butter, pumpkin puree, and vanilla; stir until combined.

  3. With a hot and ready waffle iron, spray your iron so the batter doesn't stick and pour your mixture in. Cook as directed or until your little light says it's done.

  4. Remove and top with butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup, cane syrup, pecans, or whipped cream.

  5. Enjoy!
